How To Apply

Thank you for your interest in applying for an SBA Loan with California Bank & Trust (CB&T). To make the application process more convenient, our Application Package is available in a .pdf format with “Save” functionality. All it takes is Adobe Reader version 7.0 or higher. The good news is that, even if you don’t currently have this program, you can download it free from the Internet.

Get Acrobat Reader

To start the application process, open our Business Loan Application PackagePDF, and

  • Complete each form online
  • Save each form by using the “Save As” option.
  • Print the forms
  • Sign where indicated (an original signature is required on the forms)
  • Print, complete, and submit the following two forms with your application, as required by the Small Business Administration (SBA):
  • Contact one of our SBA Specialists to review and submit your application.

Tips for Using These Online Forms


Tab Key

Move forward to the next box/field in the form and the Shift Tab keys to move to the previous box/field.

Enter Key

Checkmark boxes once they are highlighted.

Delete Key

Remove everything in a specific field.

Date Auto Formatting

Enter the numbers for month (MM), day (DD) and year (YYYY) in any date field and it will automatically format for you. In where only (MM) and year (YYYY) are required, enter only those.

$ Amount Auto Formatting

Enter the numbers for any field that asks for a dollar amount with a dollar sign, and the commas and decimals will automatically be added.

Phone Number
Auto Formatting

Enter the numbers including area code and the hyphens will automatically be added.

Save or
Save As

Save the data you’ve entered at any time. You can complete some now and finish it later by saving these forms to your desktop. All of the data you entered will be saved so you can complete the forms later.
